Is smart lighting worth doing in an existing house?
Often, yes. Smart switches and dimmers replace your existing ones and work with normal fittings, so you get scenes and scheduling without rewiring. Where a wall lacks a neutral we tell you the honest options before anything is ordered.
Can you install a video doorbell properly?
Yes, on a proper supply rather than a struggling old bell transformer, which is behind most doorbell complaints. Wired beats battery for anything you actually rely on.
Our wifi is terrible at the back of the house. Can you help?
Usually the fix is wired: data points to the rooms that matter and access points where the coverage should come from. We run the cables tidily and leave the network actually working, not just installed.
Which smart home system should we choose?
The one that fits the kit you already use, and we say that as installers rather than resellers. We fit the mainstream systems that will still be supported in five years and walk you through the choice before anything is bought.
Can smart heating controls cut our bills?
Zoning and scheduling heat only the rooms you use, and the savings are real when the controls are commissioned properly. That commissioning is the part that usually gets skipped, and the part we do not skip.
Is CCTV at home legal?
Yes, positioned responsibly. Cameras should cover your property rather than the neighbours’, and we position and angle them with that in mind, wired for reliability rather than battery top-ups.
