What this website stores in your browser and why. There is very little of it, and none of it is advertising.

The short version.
This website sets no advertising cookies and sells nothing about you to anybody. It uses a small amount of analytics so we can see which pages people actually read, and that only runs if you agree to it.
What a cookie is here.
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Related technologies do much the same job under different names. Where this policy says cookie, it means all of them.
Strictly necessary.
These make the site work and cannot be turned off from here, because without them there is no site to use. On this website that means the choice you make about analytics, which has to be remembered somewhere or you would be asked on every page.

Analytics, only if you say yes.
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and services people look at. It tells us that a page was read; it does not tell us who you are, and we have IP anonymisation on. Nothing analytics-related loads at all until you accept, and if you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

Things that are not cookies but are worth knowing.
The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts and its photographs from the Bunny.net content network. Neither sets a cookie, but both receive your IP address in order to send the file, in the same way any server does when your browser asks it for something.
Changing your mind.
Clear this site's data in your browser settings and you will be asked again on your next visit. Every browser can also block or delete cookies wholesale: look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking everything will not break this site, because nothing here depends on a cookie to function.
