Electrical fault finding & repairs.
When something trips, dies or starts behaving oddly, you need someone who finds the actual cause rather than resetting it and hoping. We trace the fault properly, make it safe, fix it, and tell you in plain English what went wrong.

What’s included.
- Tripping fuse boards: RCDs and breakers that trip and will not reset, traced circuit by circuit to the appliance or cable causing it
- No power to part of the house: dead sockets, lights or a whole floor, found and restored
- Burning smells, scorch marks and buzzing: overheating sockets, switches and connections made safe and replaced
- Flickering and failing lights: loose connections, failing fittings and dimmer problems sorted
- Damage after DIY, leaks or pests: cables drilled, nailed, soaked or chewed, found and repaired
- Tested before we leave: every repair tested, with a certificate where the work calls for one

Asked before booking.
My fuse board keeps tripping. Is that dangerous?
A trip is the board doing its job: it has detected a fault and cut the power. The danger is in repeatedly forcing it back on. Unplug everything on that circuit, try again, and if it still trips, call us. Our guide on why a fuse board keeps tripping explains the usual causes.
Can you come out today?
Often, yes. Ring us and we will tell you honestly when we can be there rather than promising a slot we cannot keep. If it sounds dangerous we will tell you what to switch off in the meantime.
Will you fix it on the first visit?
Most common faults are fixed there and then, because the van carries the common parts. If something has to be ordered we make the installation safe first and come back to finish.
How is a fault finding visit charged?
We explain how the visit is charged on the phone before anyone sets off, and any repair beyond making it safe is priced and agreed before it is done.
Do I need a new fuse board?
Not always. Plenty of tripping problems are a single faulty appliance or cable. We find the cause first and only talk about a new board if the old one is genuinely the problem.
