How long does a home EV charger installation take?
Usually a day, including testing, commissioning and a walk-through of the app and the charging schedule. The survey beforehand tells us if anything about your supply would add to that, so the day itself holds no surprises.
My main fuse is small. Can I still have a charger?
Almost always. Where the supply is tight we fit load management, so the charger backs off automatically while the shower or the hob is running, or we arrange a supply upgrade. The survey settles which, before you commit to anything.
Which charger should I choose?
The right unit depends on your car, your tariff and where you park, so we recommend from what fits rather than what is on the van. Every unit we fit is a leading UK brand with a proper warranty and an app that will still be supported in five years.
My parking is not next to the house. Is that a problem?
Usually not. Chargers can be post-mounted and cable runs trenched or routed externally. The survey works out the sensible route and the honest cost of it before you decide.
Is the installation certificated and notified?
Every install is tested and certificated on completion, notified to the DNO on your behalf, and covered by our 12-month workmanship guarantee. You get every document for the house file.
Can you make my home EV-ready before I even have the car?
Yes, and if you are renovating or landscaping it is the cheapest moment: ducting and capacity go in while the ground or walls are already open, and the charger itself follows whenever the car does.
